The CSTA annual Computer Science & Information Technology Symposium provides professional development opportunities for
high school and middle school computer science and computer applications teachers who need practical, relevant information
to help them prepare their students for the future.
The cost of registration is $40.00. The 200 teachers who attend this event will have an opportunity to:

Explore issues and trends relating directly to their classrooms

Network with top professionals from across the country

Interact with other teachers to gain new perspectives on shared challenges
This year, CSTA will be accepting proposals from members interested in presenting at CS&IT 2010. Notice of the proposal
process will be sent to all CSTA members with proposals due by February 15, 2010.
Just a few of last year's sessions included:
- Transitioning from Alice to Java
- Computational Thinking
- Inheritance, Polymorphism & Interfaces
- Using Manipulatives to Enhance Pedagogy (aka Teaching with Toys!)
- Partnering with Local Colleges to Get Grants
- Using Game Maker to Motivate and Engage Students
- CS for all Students Using Differentiated Instruction
