Are you interested in developing a program to encourage girls' interest in technology and science? Would you like to gain girl-tested, hands-on curriculum and learn strategies for success? We invite you to participate in the Techbridge Summer Training Institute in Oakland, CA from August 4-6, 2008. This workshop will teach participants all facets of starting and successfully running a program in technology, science and engineering for girls. A registration fee will cover the 3-day Training Institute; participants will also receive a CD-ROM containing all of Techbridge's hands-on curriculum. Due to the hands-on nature of the curriculum, we highly encourage two participants of the same organization to attend the training together. The fee for one participant is $750; for two from the same organization $1,000. Register at www.techbridgegirls.org by the deadline of June 30. For inquiries and/or further information, please contact Jennifer Wei at jwei@chabotspace.org or 510.777.9170 x308.

We would like your help with a survey on the subject of K-12 teachers or administrators who use software development tools/programming languages. We wish to gain a better understanding of activities, challenges, and needs in this area. We seek your assistance because your teaching background and experience in software development/programming will provide us with invaluable information about this topic. To access the survey, visit https://websurveyor.net/wsb.dll/32487/TeacherSurvey.htm . Participation is anonymous and voluntary and should take about 20 minutes of your time. If you have any questions about the survey, e-mail your questions to wanda.m.kunkle@drexel.edu.
